All About Ms. Tanaka
Hi, my name is Alyssa Tanaka. I was born and raised on the island of O'ahu. Although I have lived my whole life in the beautiful, laid-back town of Kaneohe, I spent most of my keiki days going to school and playing sports in Honolulu.
I graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in the summer of 2011 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and I am currently going back to school at the University of Hawaii at Manoa to pursue a graduate degree in Curriculum Studies - Language Arts/Literacy. I have taught third grade at Wahiawa Elementary and have taught Kindergarten for the past two years at Hale Kula. As a college student, I spent most of my time working and learning at Hanahau'oli School.
In my freetime, I love going to the beach, shopping, and hanging out with family and friends. I also enjoy playing soccer on Sundays, exercising, finding new places to eat, and lounging at home watching TV.
